CIA Chief Will Defend His Agency

Did we say slamming doors and raised voices over at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue?

This news from Matt Drudge ought to crack a few panes of glass in those slamming doors. CIA Director George Tenet plans to go public tomorrow morning at Georgetown University with "a high-impact speech" "defending his agency's work on analyzing Iraq's weapons of mass destruction programs."

In other words, if the Bushies thought Tenet was going to quietly take the fall on the no WMD scandal, they can think again.

Tenet's speech is supposed to be Thursday morning, but what time we're not sure yet.
