Wednesday, January 10-- Fair Courts Day of Action sponsored by the NC NAACP, NC Voters for Clean Elections, Democracy NC, Progress NC, Common Cause NC, Council of Churches, Equality NC, ACLU of NC, AFL-CIO NC and the NCAE

11:00 am press conference outside the legislative building (16 W. Jones St.)

led by NC NAACP President Rev. Dr. T. Anthony Spearman and Former NC Supreme Court Justice Patricia Timmons-Goodson

noon -- pack the gallery as the House and Senate Convenes

afternoon -- volunteer training and education session before attendees begin directly lobbying their lawmakers

5 p.m. -- attendees reconvene in the atrium to remind lawmakers that the judicial gerrymandering plan and other legislative attempts to rig the court system for partisan gain will not be tolerated by voters who support a fair and independent judiciary
