Why don't we have more Democrats who can speak this clearly and this directly?

You defined "civil right" in a way that would likely include those things you agree with and exclude those things you disagree with. How did same sex marriage become a "civil right". Is my second amendment right to firearms also a civil right? If so, how is it then subject to the whims of the Blowing Rock town council.

Do I have a "civil right' to enter into multiple marriages at the same time?

I can support getting government out of deciding who has the right to marry whom, but it's hardly a 'civil right'.
