Virginia Foxx: Belittling People for Over Four Decades

Ken Ilgunas, in today's Winston-Salem Journal:
...[Virginia] Foxx has plenty of tolerance for today's broken system of higher education and its ever-rising costs, but little tolerance, she says, for the students who are struggling with the system that she herself helped create.
Today's college students don't need belittling words from someone of Foxx's generation, for whom college was affordable. They need the sort of assistance that Foxx profited from when she was young.

Ms Foxx is an extremist and a disciple of Rush Limbaugh.

The new GOP has abandon the old party of Lincoln, Eisenhower and Dirksen choosing to follow instead Helms, Thurman, and deep South bigots who resent the term Justice, civil rights, or human rights.

The GOP has used bigotry in every major election back to he signing of the Civil Rights Bill.

The very people who need the help of a person of political power the most is instead betrayed by Ms Foxx who is an extremist for the very rich.

Lib: With due regard, you are mistaken. Mrs. Foxx goes right along with the war party like Limbaugh, Lincoln, Eisenhower, and Dirksen, and quite a few others.

'Just as many of the Democrat party also, like Wilson, Roosevelt, Johnson, and quite a few others.

I would suggest that you look into congressional and other archival records of the past two centuries re: the South, the North, and all the rhetoric re: the latest 'war-to-end-all-wars', etc.

Where did I use the word War? I used the words civil rights, justice and human rights none of which the New Limbaugh GOP support. I also used the word bigotry which has been the main political tool along with fear of the Limbaugh Republican extremist.

Ms Foxx uses her political power against working Americans not to lift and better their lives.

I am glad to see you post about "belittling" people. That seems to be what your website is all about. You belittle Foxx at every opportunity and if you look at the various posts you have made it seems that all you do is belittle people.

LPOV, the Democrats are historically the party of racism. It is true from Douglas to Byrd to Obama.

"LPOV, the Democrats are historically the party of racism. It is true from Douglas to Byrd to Obama."

Ever hear of the Southern strategy after the civil rights bill was signed by Democrat President Johnson?

Most of those bigots were recruited by the Republican Party or reformed and worked to undo the wrong of earlier political years as with Senator Byrd.

I know you did not use the term 'war'. But I did. And that was the old politics of Lincoln, Wilson, Roosevelt, and even Eisenhower and Dirksen, and Johnson, Limbaugh--left and right wing--both internally and abroad.

And as for bigotry, civil rights, human rights, these terms were and still are used and abused by both wings to, in truth, turn us into warring, quarreling, snarling factions amongst ourselves, which results in increasing governmental power and taxation.

Chew on that for a while.

LPOV, your post was incoherent. What were you trying to say?

"Its a fact todays Republican strength in with white men in former slave states."

That statement makes no sense.

LPOV making sense

? Puh-leeze!

"Its a fact the Republican party's greatest political strength is from white men in former slave states."

Look at the local conservative blog as they have a constant drum beat for fear, hate and bigotry. The core of today's Republican Party are gun nuts, religous zealots, bigots and billionaire funders.

Even when LPOV tries to post as "anonymous" his ignorance gives him away.

You must be conceeding the debate as you have moved away from facts and logic to petty insults .

The issues you failed to respond to are below.

Ms Foxx uses her political power against working Americans not to lift and better their lives.

The fact Republicans used the Southern strategy after the civil rights bill was signed by Democrat President Johnson to recruit bigots to the Republican Party.

LPOV serves as a litmus test for an issue. It does not matter whether he supports it or objects to it, because a logical person would go the other way.

Having trouble finding facts or logic to continue the debate on issues is now resorting to petty insults.

Actually, I find LPOV to be one of the most reasonable and intelligent of all the liberals who post here.
He is typical of the kind of people who support democratic candidates and I am sure is looked up to and respected by all the other liberal posters.

He is their leader! You go Lib! You da man!
