El Presidente's former cabinet officer Mel Martinez easily won the Florida primary race yesterday to run for the U.S. Senate. He'll be facing Democrat Betty Castor.
Martinez beat his chief rival, former congressman Bill McCollum, by smearing him as "the new darling of the homosexual extremists." Charming!
Don't know a thing about Betty Castor, except that she's "a former state education commissioner and onetime university president." Oh, no! Academics! She's gonna play nice with this ... jerk!
