SEANC Endorses Ballantine for Guv

The State Employees Association of North Carolina's political committee endorsed Republican gubernatorial candidate Patrick Ballantine yesterday.

It's not like we couldn't see that one coming!

Easley has done nothing but diss state employees for the past four years. 'Course, this endorsement doesn't speak well of the collective intelligence of SEANC's political committee, either, since they're parroting Ballantine's political advertizing: "Patrick has a clear desire to have us at the table when he puts together his budget and when he develops policy and procedure," said Dana Cope, executive director of the association, which represents about 58,000 workers. "We've had someone in office who is not very open to being inclusive .... Patrick came across looking out for the little people in North Carolina." Republican propaganda.

But this is not good for Easley. Tremendous number of votes connected to SEANC, and the Guv has no one to blame but himself for losing them.
