A credible Republican woman running for governor (not that we think Sue Myrick was that woman!) would be a formidable opponent for any Democrat man (maybe not so much for a Democrat woman, especially one with a hair-helmet every bit as impenetrable as Myrick's). So it IS a surprise that Myrick says she's not running.
BlueNC suggests that the decision might be linked to "really stinky poll numbers." Makes sense.
