Massa Want His Julep Now
We shake our heads ruefully at the consolidation of power in the N.C. legislature in the hands of two mortals (who happen in this case to be Democrats), described here. We consider the inevitable nexus of money and influence that goes with such power, and we meditate on how such arrogance almost always fuels revolution. Most frightening in this instance is what revolution might bring ... a whole different set of arrogant men with absolute power to shove a right-wing agenda down our throats. Which, for the time being, keeps us on the plantation.
