"I will never get over the fact that MAGA tries to act like they are anti-establishment when they are literally voting for the embodiment of shameless, greedy billionaires who want to pay less in taxes and keep them stupid and angry. Holy shit did these people get swindled."

I appreciate Brett Meiselas and I'd really like to share his belief of Trump supporters being "swindled" -- i.e., that most really aren't this hateful but are just rubes who've been seriously misled. But I'm starting to wonder if they don't know exactly what's being spouted and simply agree with it. Just check the latest Stein-Robinson polls -- even after Robinson was outed describing himself as a Nazi and calling for a return to slavery, he still pulls 44% (ActiVote). Granted, Stein's up by double digits, but how do you explain the resilient support for Robinson as other than true support for hatred and bigotry? Just anecdotally, the Trump and Robinson signs have only increased in my rural northwest NC area as more and more vile comments continue to pile up. "Signs of the end of the world" does seem to be a very apt description!
We must separate Church and Hate.
And we must forbid Hate as State policy.
(else we'll be doomed like Israel)
