After making his own remarks -- full of some good stuff -- funny zingers, jokes about his age, and clear declarations of support for traditional American values, especially a respect for a free press and a fierce defiance directed at Russia -- "Surrender the Hostages!" -- Biden was just turning the evening over to comedian Roy Woods Jr. when he whipped out the glasses and made the comment quoted above.
