BREAKING NEWS: Court Orders New Congressional Map
The court accepted the new NC House and NC Senate maps but ordered the special masters to draw a new US Congressional district map for the state. This apparently is it:
Unaffiliated voters are the largest voting group in Watauga, much less so in other places. But they do tend to break for one party or the other and that's probably how the break-down is reported.
Here's how Dave's Redistricting breaks down the districts:
ReplyDeleteSolid D = 2, 4, 6, 12, and 14
Solid R = 3, 5, 7, 8, and 10
Toss-Ups:
District 1 = 54% D vs. 44.32% R
District 9 = 45.66% D vs. 52.04% R
District 11 = 43.93% D vs. 53.67% R
District 13 = 49.43% D vs. 48.13% R
What about 'Independent' voters? Or are they insignificant?
