Another muslim terrorist just blew up a bunch of innocent kids in England, my daughter in Paris says they are on critical alert with the military in the streets because of expected muslim attacks and you are worried about Trump pushing past some micro-nation suit?
No wonder you all are losing elections, such as the seat in Montana.
Priorities? People can work to quell extremist terrorism (Islamist AND white-nationalist) while at the same time calling out Trump's juvenile behavior.
Wulf is an example of the GOP that was hijacked by Conservatives who believe government exists to impose their "world view" and their "values" on the nation through force of law. They believe in the Divine inspiration of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. They refuse to acknowledge our nation's "original sin" of slavery and they are possessed with a kind of self-righteous fever that convinces them that THEY are more American than anyone else. They also seem to hate their political opponents MORE than they love their country and they are willing to literally wreck the nation if they can't have their way. They believe compromise at any level is betrayal. They deny facts that don't affirm their prejudices and eschew science in favor of wacky explanations and rumors. They cannot be reasoned with which makes them too dangerous to govern. "To argue with a man who has renounced the use of reason is like administering medicine to the dead." - Thomas Paine, The American Crisis No. V (1776
I have to admit, Wolfie, you nailed me. Yep, I have to admit it all now. Because I have cussed Donald Trump more than jihadis, I am singly responsible for losses suffered by Democrats pretty much everywhere. I have avoided admitting it, but you have forced my hand. I am responsible for Roy Cooper's losing the governorship and for Democrats' failing to take back the County Commission. Me alone.
And now I have to get back to rubbing Trump's face in his own sublime stupidity.
Neither Gov. Cooper, nor any member of the County Commission - Republican or Democrat - favors government of, for, and by the corporations, which would be fascism. It is an easy label to throw about, but highly inaccurate in this case.
Fascism isn't about government being of, for and by the corporations, it's about government control of private property. Liberals overlook that part because they think that if their control is against corporations then it's good. It's not.
"1 often capitalized : a political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition" Merriam Webster dictionary.
Democrats place government and party above the people.
They want a strong centralized autocratic government in contradiction to the Constitution so they can force the people to live the way they dictate by using powerful regulatory agencies.
No one is more dictatorial than Obama, although Clinton would have been worse.
Democrats use violence against their opposition, even paying and transporting thugs to trash and attack their opposition.
So what?

ReplyDeleteIt is not a contradiction to be embarrassed about Trump and also work to stop the minority of muslims who aspire to be terrorists.
Your little attempt at offering a clever riposte suffers from being a red herring.
It's not about contradictions, it's about priorities, of which the left hasn't a clue.

I have yet to see JW do say anything here about islamist terrorists.
ReplyDeleteHe just wants to rub Trump's face in the dirt whenever he's not bashing Foxx and doesn't care about innocents being murdered en mass.
As I stated above, it's no wonder you all are losing elections. You've lost touch with reality, your priorities are entirely political and partisan.
And where are the "white nationalist" terrorists? I don't remember seeing any news about bombings or mass murders.

ReplyDeleteBlind hogs and acorns.
But it is distressing as I hate to see the county and state headed by fascists.
And no one has yet explained the "white nationalist" terrorists.

All democrats are fascists.
