Maymead is based in Mountain City, TN, so I certainly do not think they were tossed out of Trade, TN. Maymead has provided numerous jobs to citizens of this area.

Good point Anon 2:05. Let's build that asphalt plant next door to you! Maybe one of your "no-zoner" friends could find a location in your neighborhood?

Obviously the only thing that matters in NC is polluters. Certainly, people with homes don't rank at all.

Asphalt will be needed for Hwy.221. Maymead has an asphalt plant on 105. They can haul asphalt through Boone to Deep Gap/ Ashe County. Or they can put up an asphalt plant at the existing quarry on the same footprint & haul asphalt 1/2 the distance. They have a fairly decent record of being responsible coo rate citizens.
