I remember when teachers were lobbying for 1/4 percent sales tax to support the schools. The Republican lobbyists in Raleigh refused to even consider it. But increase taxes to support the wealthy? They can't jump it on fast enough.
Higher tax on food for students, higher tax on mobile homes, no more EITC, no more retirement benefits. All changes that hurt the common working person. Big businesses and rich people get more, more, and more.
Food for students? When did food prices rise? Also, mobile homes exist because of government regulation that disallows poor people to build their own homes like they used to. Drive down in the Globe or in the Western end of Watauga County and look at the mobile homes sitting right next to old farmhouses. Those old farmhouses were built by poor people and are magnificent. Can't do that anymore due to regulation (thanks Dems), and it has forced poor people into tin boxes. Ever think about the regulation end of things?

ReplyDeleteHow much di you have to make to be wealthy?
ReplyDeleteI didn't see my taxes go up. When did this happen and what bill was it?
ReplyDeleteIf your income is more than 3 times the median household income, congratulations. You are clearly wealthy.

ReplyDeleteThanks for nothing, Republicans.
