Westgate CEO David Siegel holds his trophy |
The implicit neo-feudalism of that gesture speaks volumes about an instinct to bully people.
Even better, Mr. Siegel also whines that if Obama is elected, he won't be able to complete his 90,000-square-foot mansion.
So, come on people! Help keep Mr. & Ms. Siegel happy, or clearly, you hate America!
Incidentally, Mr. Siegel and his cantilevered wife Jackie are the stars of a new documentary, "The Queen of Versailles," which has gotten rave reviews.
Hey now, nothing wrong with a trophy wife as long as you have a good prenup. The only ones I see complaining about someone else trophy wife are the ones I believe really want their own :)
ReplyDeleteMy JW, you must have had to dig rather deep to come up with that one.
ReplyDeleteIn the photo, I note that David Siegel's trophy wife, Janet's personal assets definitely lean toward his beyond-rich interests.
ReplyDeleteNow if only Siegel's interests included not only the welfare of his employees but also that of Americans living in houses of less that a zillion square feet . . . if they have houses to live in, that is.
OK, so I exaggerate the sq footage, but not by much--it's actually just 90,000 square feet.
Caveat: Owing to Siegel's own 2008 reversals of forturne, the family of 8 and their 5 dogs were forced to put their home up for auction and undergo the tragic experience of having to relocate to a new home, one of very modest proportions: 26,000 sq ft.
So sad.
