It's Coming ... From the Black (Pope) Lagoon

Mark Binker is reporting that Real Jobs NC (remember them?) is about to unleash their Art Pope-financed smeers of Democratic candidates again this election cycle.

And why not? The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that billionaires have the inalienable right to buy any legislature that they can personally afford. And the Real Jobs NC slimeballs of 2010 worked so well to turn the NC General Assembly over to Dan Soucek, Jonathan Jordan, and other Tea Party types.

Remember what they did to Cullie Tarleton and Steve Goss in 2010, the mailers the put Mexican sombreros on those gentlemen's heads and warned about rapists moving in next door to your granny.

  1. As much as I do not like that group. I have to say there is just as much money poured in to hate filled ads by the left as well. It is despicable on both sides.

Name me one liberal group that decided to make an ad on par with Cullie letting the scary black man out of jail a la Willie Horton

Or a giant rainbow flag with Nancy Pelosi and him as part of the "gay agenda" HORROR!

These ads are nothing more then the lowest of the low to cater to racist homophobic fear mongering, and have no place in a campaign.

The only thing more shameful then what we'll probably see this year is the fact that people out there are scared, stupid, or bigoted enough that they still work.

  5. Jesse Steele, I said both sides sponsors are despicable in spending to get their agenda elected. Not one or the other.

There are just as many democratic candidates using fear and hate in ads as there are republicans.

I am not wanting split hairs with you on who made the meanest ad.

I just gave my opinion on the topic that's all. One persons opinion in Boone

Jordan is a product of Civitas, Locke, and Pope. A mailer drawing simple attention to this is in order.

Opoib, false equivalence, "both sides do it." That's what the repug propaganda machine would have everyone believe.

Opoib, I don't doubt that there is a lot of money flowing in on both sides. But can you point to specific instances of scaremongering on the left that match what we saw in 2010 from the "Real Jobs" people (aka the Art Pope machine)? Because I got that awful flyer in the mail that had Cullie Tarleton wearing a sombrero and accused him of sending jobs "South of the Border", and also the one that played on homophobia. I still remember them very well because I had never seen such blatant & misleading political pandering before.

  8. Not Really, My statement stands it was my opinion that's all. I think both sides stink when it comes to using money to buy votes.

I posted link showing just that. I am not going to get in to a he said she said tit for tat on whose ads have been the worse.

If I killed somebdy with a gun or knife which murder is worse?

Fact is, he CAN'T give you an example of an ad from a Democrat. He keeps saying that the Dems are "just as bad" yet he has not one shred of evidence. The flyers used against Steve Goss and Cullie Tarleton were some of the nastiest and most despicable that I have ever seen, and it seems like there was a new one every day!

  12. Remember, Opiib was just expressing his opinion. When he found it ran up against facts, he did not change his opinion, he just stopped saying it here. Fine. My wise old grandfather used to say, "A fool convinced against his will is of the same opinion still."

Betty White, simply turn on your TV or your radio. Why does the Democrat party think they are not involved in attack ads? If you are on facebook, look at the negative comments they are making. I have no idea who is funding the Democrat or Republican ads, but someone is.

I will have to be honest with you. I will certainly vote for Mr. Welch for County Commissioner. I have been very impressed how he has conducted himself with the Board of Education. I do not know Mr. Kennedy at all which tells me he needs to be campaigning and getting to know people. As many Democrats feel also, I can not support Ms. Roseman. Certain high profile members of her party say they will not support her.

  14. Anon 11:49 the left sided posters here will never admit any democrat or the democratic party can do any wrong.
I am an independent and spoke my opinion. Yet I was attacked when I said both sides were doing wrong.I even posted a link showing the spending by both sides.
