We now have the public spectacle of an ex-president bragging that he authorized torture. "Damn right!"
It's infuriating that no one in the Obama administration says a word in response. No one with a justice or human rights portfolio, no one the least embarrassed that our legacy in the world is now stamped forever.
Complicity in torture is like any other complicity. Silence is assent.
Unbelievable. I can't believe we Americans have sunk so low. What's next, slavery?
ReplyDeleteBush's bravado speaks volumes as to his lack of real manhood.
ReplyDeleteBushfire,
ReplyDelete"we Americans".
ROFL. You did this?
Mike D. Yes, we Americans. By this I mean that I have heard my neighbors and friends actually defend the use of torture. I blame the media. Specifically I blame television programs such as the notorious program "24", and other such violence glorifying trash.
ReplyDeleteI blame the radio and TV commentators that spout hate speech and get paid millions for their sick destructive propaganda. I blame myself for not doing enough to fight this disgusting and appalling trend.
I've got news for ya, Brushfire.
ReplyDeleteSlavery reappeared in the 20th century. It's called the 16th Amendment.
What's more, it's a fraud.
Try blaming Tom Delay....maybe back there when he was Speaker Of The House, He started it.
ReplyDeleteLMAO
Mike D:
ReplyDeletePLEASE don't kick Brushfire out of your America!
