Dueling D.C. rallies/marches on Oct. 30th ... Jon Stewart's "Rally to Restore Sanity" (a.k.a., "Million Moderate March") or Stephen Colbert's rival "March to Keep Fear Alive."
This just may be the ONLY place to be on October 30th.
First one to organize a bus from Watauga County will get ... let's see ... something moderately frightful, just in time for Halloween.
Colbert is one of the bravest men alive and Stewart is one of the most brilliant.
ReplyDeleteIf only they had some common sense.
ReplyDelete"There are none so blind as those who WILL NOT see."
ReplyDeleteLet's see, Beck had five million. Stewart is hoping for 20% of that. Percentages are about right.
ReplyDelete5 Million, you are joking right?
ReplyDeleteRemember, Barbara Sue, teabaggers live in their own separate reality. To them, Beck's 80,000 ralliers equal 5 million!
ReplyDeleteI don't think there is any way Stewart and Colbert will gather more than 75,000. This is not a smart thing to do just before election time - highlight a lack of interest for the Democratic Party. They need to do this prior to 2012 if the big O is even going to have a chance of re-election.
ReplyDeleteBRockBlue, true Tea Partiers are common sense people who are angry at and fed up with this spendthrift government of both parties who are rampant with corruption and treason.
ReplyDeleteAlso, honest Tea Partiers are definitely NOT Glen Beck followers. Beck is an establishment, fascist shill.
Obviously you have not seen the photographs of the crowd or, as liberals usually do, you refuse to believe what you see. What fools. Denying reality does you no good.
ReplyDeleteI'm going, and my sign will say "Tea Parties are for little girls." Or "There was only one Hitler, and he's been dead for decades!"
ReplyDeleteSomething like that!
It seems as if the far left is finding the Tea Party is everything they wanted to be during the Bush years. The anemic anti-war rallies didn't change anyone's opinion, and, despite CNN's best efforts, they largely failed. The Tea Party is having an effect on elections as well as people's attitudes. When the Speaker made the Astroturf comment, it was an act of desperation meant to stall a movement. Would we hear Pelosi say that comment again today? Don't think so.
ReplyDeleteTell that to the Tea Partiers, Anonymous.
ReplyDeleteNo one needs to tell the Tea Parties that liberals deny reality. This has been part of their message.
ReplyDeleteWhy should I have to tell the Tea Partiers that liberals have no grasp of reality? This well known fact is part of their message.
ReplyDeleteThe TBaggers have been smart to turn general dislike of taxes and ANY gov't control into support. People show up and "want my country back," but can say or explain nothing. From what? It was NEVER taken away. If ANYONE took away our rights it was Bush (see Patriot Act.)
ReplyDeleteTbaggers have been stupid to be duped and controlled by the Republican puppeteers who run the show.
"Ignore that man behind the curtain!" _The Wizard of Oz
You know, I think it's very interesting how many of the TeaPee supporters who post here hide under "Anonymous"--could you people at least be Anon1, Anon2, whatever, it is hard to know who is who behind that cop-out ploy. I know, "we're everywhere, under your bed, in your basement, behind the garage," blah blah. Like I'm really scared. I thought you people wanted America back, but we progressives don't know who to give it to. ;-)
ReplyDeleteA rose by any other name would smell as sweet. It does not matter what name you post with. I could just as well post as Bikerbard or Brotherdoc.
ReplyDeleteBikerbard,
ReplyDeleteWith a Democratic President and Congress how in the world has the Patriot Act survived. Democrats sure mentioned the Patriot Act during the elections, but once elected, they never seem to mention it. Is the Patriot Act suddenly ok now? Democrats voted the Patriot Act in alongside Republicans. The Patriot Act represents RINOs and Democrats and how they govern.
Popcorn, it's because the Dems are in power NOW.
ReplyDeleteThey can and do wield it just as well as the Repubs do.
Good question, Popcorn. It baffles me, too.
ReplyDeleteTanks Biker Bard!
