McCrory also has a salary, a staff, a government supplied mansion, a car and a driver and personal body guard protection. It goes with the job.
Do you think every citizen should be provided the same benefits that the governor gets as a condition of his employment?
And who would guard these selfsame guardians?
Your point is correct. Government officials, at all levels, are treated like royalty.
