Serious Question: Are NC Republicans Crazy?

Public Policy Polling found:

Foxx tops NC Republican wish list
Virginia Foxx tops the wish list of North Carolina Republicans for who they'd like as their Senate candidate next year: 17% pick her to 14% for Sue Myrick, 13% for Patrick McHenry, 11% for Renee Ellmers, 9% for George Holding, 6% for Richard Hudson, 4% for Mark Meadows, and 2% for Thom Tillis. 25% say that they prefer someone else or are unsure.
Pretty humiliating for ole Thom Tillis.

I am going to close this page, now, quietly, and go away, for I am done with the Internet for the day.

Indeed, the prospect of La Foxx as a US Senator is driving me in the direction of the liquor cabinet. Later, perhaps, I will forget I ever read this.

Perhaps.

So you’re saying that 25% of NC Republicans may have at least a glimmer of sanity?

It must really hurt you to realize if she runs, she will win.

Senate races are not gerrymandered like House races. Foxx would not even make showing.

Run Virginia, we got your back!

She won under Democratic gerrymandering also.

Foxx would win hands down, Soucek can have her House seat, a Republican win all around.

Please run, Virginia. Run fast and far away from the 5th District. Let the whole country see what a buffoon you are!

So BRockBlue, are you saying she would be elected? If so, I agree.

Did I say she would get elected? She will be a Sharon Angle or Christine (I'm not a witch) O'Donnel kind of candidate. The best way to re-elect Kay Hagan is to run Madame Foxx against her.

"Did I say she would get elected?"

You implied it.

"Please run, Virginia. Run fast and far away from the 5th District. Let the whole country see what a buffoon you are!"

Hence the question.

Foxx would beat Hagan 1.5 or 2 to 1.
