The Dam Breaks

The Bully
Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.) sez he won't honor his pledge to Grover Norquist to never ever ever vote for a tax increase.

Uh-oh.

Someone just stood up to the bully, and generally when that happens ... well, it could start a more general uprising.

“I care more about my country than I do about a 20-year-old pledge,” Chambliss said. “If we do it [Norquist's] way then we’ll continue in debt, and I just have a disagreement with him about that.”

Next up in Georgia: "Primary his ass!"

His idea of the "country" and his love for it is, in fact, the corrupt and treasonous D.C. establishment, the status quo. He and his bipartisan set of congressional criminals have no regard for the real country, the people, who are struggling to withstand what these D. C and Wall Street criminals are doing to what's left of this country. These D.C. criminals and their Wall Street pals and thugs should be arrested and charged with serious crimes and executed for treason, grand theft, and gross malfeasance.

My goodness, Anon, the tryptophan effect from Thanksgiving dinner wore off fast, no calm and reasoned rhetoric for you. I agree with you on one point: if more people would in fact vote out their Congressional Representatives more might be accomplished to rein in Wall Street, the Military-industrial complex, etc. Everyone likes to blame Congress but mostly people keep voting in the same old representatives (witness the recent return of our own Madam Foxx for the umpteenth time). Saxby is a lowlife who ran a vicious, lying campaign against a true war hero, Max Cleland, in the GA Senate race a few years ago. I imagine his standing up to Grover Norquist, the unelected power behind the GOP, must be a sign he expects to retire at the end of this term. GOPers love to go on about the evil influence of organized labor, but they do represent millions of actual working men and women. Grover represents only his own smug self, but pulls political strings through mobilizing the Right wing media and lining up large donors who don't want any government regulation. Their propaganda and their campaign war chests help incumbents stay in as long as they want--and they always want to stay in.

Just like you, BD, to make a condescending remark.

Your trouble, BD, is that you cannot or will not realize that BOTH parties are corrupt and treasonous, especially at the fed level. You will, no doubt, always be fiercely partisan, no matter what.

And for your info, my disgust is not attributable to my diet. I can see, reason, and comprehend that this government, especially at the federal level, is a treasonous and corrupt group and has been for decades.

So, did you vote for Madam Foxx, Anon?

Anonymous, you are the Queen (or King)? of the condescending remark.
