NARAL Pro-Choice North Carolina has released a report that some 40 percent of pharmacies in the state do not stock the "Plan B" morning-after pill, even though it's been federally approved for non-prescription purchase since last August, because many pharmacists do not approve of women who have promiscuous sex.
No, really. (Lord knows that when it comes to moral weathervanes, we ALWAYS turn to our pharmacist first!)
If a young woman is date-raped and seeks Plan B from a morally superior pharmacist, that's just. Too. Bad.
You can read a fairly adequate summary of the report here in the N&O.
