Easley Vetoes N.C. Billboard Law

Well, the Guv came through! vetoing yesterday that grotesque billboard industry relief act passed by both houses of the state legislature (led by damn Democrats). He criticized the bill for creating a "windfall" for the billboard industry and for preventing local municipalities from enacting their own controls over signage.

It will take 3/5th majorities in both houses to override Easley's veto.

Our thanks to the governor for giving us some small reason to vote for him this year.
