Check out one of our daily addictions, Billmon's blog dubbed "The Whiskey Bar" ("Free Thinking in a Dirty Glass"), particularly his analysis posted today of the Bush administration's sudden decision that we've all got to go back to outer space, particularly a manned flight to Mars in the near future ... that it's all just P.R. to try to take everyone's mind off Iraq and jobs and the environment and jobs. Good writing and straight thinking.
To which I might add, weakly, that outer space is the best destination for a president now fingered by Paul O'Neill as an Oval Office space cadet.
